I got hard hits deleted!

I had about 15 hard hits on my Equifax report from house and car shopping last year. I sent Equifax a letter asking for evidence that they were accurate. About 2 weeks later I get an updated report and a letter. Every one of the hard hits was listed and next to it "......deleted". I have checked my report monthly and the hard hits never re-appeared.

Are the employees at the CRA actually this lazy?

This sounds like it could be a success story.

I've heard of people actually having up to 21 hard hits removed from their equifax credit report by simply disputing online.

Now that you ask, I wish I knew why it's working.
