Default How to Change Old Addresses on Credit Report

Hello, first time poster here. BTW, what a fantastic site indeed. Just started the credit repair process and this site is a life and money saver!!!

Now, down to business... For some reason I was able to use the search for all info I needed except the actual process to change my personal info with the credit agencies which is one of the basics to credit repair.

I am trying to set up PFD's for accounts left unpaid for just over two years due to divorce and child custody case. Yes all debt is in my name but I did get baby girl !!

As far as I can tell the process is as follows-
- Opt out - done
- Change/remove old addresses, names, phone numbers. - Why is that?
- Get validation letters to all collection agencies.
- Send PFD's to all validated CA accounts ( max final offers not to exceed 50% on the $ )
- Dispute all derogitory marks on my CR with the big 3 ( is this where I send verification request letters? )
- Reap the benefits of my work....

That seem about right?

Hi I'm also new here, but I found this for you in the Beginners credit information.
1. Personal Information

This section contains your name, address, employer, date of birth, social security number, and your spouse's name. Several variations of each may be listed, along with former addresses and names. This information is supplied both by creditors, and by you when you fill out a credit application.

Perhaps the first thing to attack is all of the old addresses and name variations. These serve no positive purpose on your report. If this information is needed by a creditor, you can supply it on an as-needed basis. These items can be removed by calling or writing the CRA, and asking for their removal, as they are "not accurate".
I am so happy you got your baby girl, they are what life is all about. M&M
