Unfairly Scored is on a distinguished road
Default Can anyone help with my low score?

I have been told by three borkers now that I have a very "unfair" score. Two years ago I had no profit/loss, no charge-offs, nothing. I had one medical bill in collection and three 30-day late payments. My score was under 600!

Now, my job has taken me across the state and I have to go through the loan application process again for my house. I got behind on one card and have a profit and loss. I did pay off my collection, but now my score is 563.

I don't know where to turn. I have 31% of my exiting credit free, I have a long credit history and just the two blemishes, but I seem to be getting hit very hard. Can anyone point me into a direction?

I wish your post was a bit more clearer. You're jumping from things being unpaid to paid and it's really hard to follow.

Having said that, have you done the basics of credit repair(i.e ordering individual credit reports from the credit bureau, opting out, deleting old addresses, other personal info not required to be on your credit reports,etc..)? If not then that is what you NEED to do first.

Is the medical collection collection account the one you are stating is paid? A paid collection account is no better score wise than an unpaid collection account. Your best bet is to dispute it via snail mail. I have had success using Why Chat's method when it came to medical collections. Follow the directions carefully. Do remember that once a collection is paid off without an agreement for deletion off your credit report prior to payment(PFD) it is harder to remove.

How old is this charged off account, are you past the SOL(statute of limitation)? Is this paid or unpaid?

As far as the late payments go,I am assuming aside from those lates this is otherwise good account. You can always try a goodwill letter to the OC. Explain the circumstances behind the lates(i.e loss of job,etc...) and ask them for goodwill adjustment(pretty much forgiveness for the lates). Also, keep in mind that if you dispute the account with the lates you risk losing the entire TL.
