Default Process of Verification

Greetings:

I have a couple of questions:

First, I started the process by sending the same "set" of verification letters to all 3 credit bureaus. The month has passed and I am pleased that many ugly things have fallen off and I've seen my score jump by 50-70 points. (The score is sort of a moving target...)

However - now the information is not consistent between the three agencies. For example, Equifax and Experian may have an account as "verified" whereas TransUnion deleted it. Is this a problem? How do I fix it?

Second, I'm signed up with the monitoring service with Equifax and also with Citi Identifty Monitor. THe Citi site gives you 3 scores but it's not necessarily the same as the site from the CRA itself. Is this a problem? Whom do I believe?

Thanks for any help or guidance.

Verification letters?? Are you saying you sent dispute letters to the CRA's?
Congrats on those deletions. Those score jumps you are referring to, are they fico or fako scores? FAKO scores mean nothing!

Problem how?

The CRA's do not share information, and one does not care what the other two are reporting in term of data. There is nothing that says they have to be "consistent" between what each individual CRA is reporting. Just because TU deleted per your dispute doesn't mean EQ or EX has to follow suit

Do you have ScoreWatch/ScorePower from EQ?? If so that is a "real score" but it only monitors your EQ FICO not the other two.

Also, if your not getting your scores directly from MYFICO then it's a FAKO, which means nothing.

I'd like to send out these verification letters as well. Do you have a sample copy or form you could supply me with? Thanks!

Letters to the CRA's are called dispute letters. And you really don't want cut and paste letters, the letter you send will depend on your particular situation and how the accounts are reporting on your credit report. You need to look at your credit report thoroughly for inaccuracies.

An example of a format would be:

Dear CRA(TU, EQ, EX)

On my (TU, EQ, EX) credit report, report/confirmation number#, there is incorrect information being reported regarding the following account(s):

Account name(s) Account number(s) and dispute reason(whatever the reason may be according to your report).

Please remove the incorrect information from my reports or whatever action you want them to take.

Sincerely,

zyal8trr

HOw do I go about ordering seperate credit reports from all 3 bureaus? I already got my free credit report from all 3 bureaus but misplaced it.

I want to actually pay for each credit report, can somebody link me to the appropraite location on each of the credit bureaus websites? thanks.
