How do you get negative inquiries removed from your credit report to boost your score?

Default Negative Inquiries

I'm trying to remove inquiries on my credit report. I was just turned down for a loan because a payday loan sold my information to other lenders. Can anyone help me.

It's possible to remove inquiries from credit reports, but lots of times it can cause more trouble for you than good.

Inquiries are only 10% of your credit score and are probably not the reason you were turned down for a loan.

The best way to boost your scores is by disputing negative items on your report like collections, charge-offs, bankruptcies, etc. And of course, keeping your balances below 30% of your credit limits.

But, if you are still set on removing inquiries, make sure you are very careful in your wording to the credit bureaus. I have never tried it, so I don't really have any sample letters for that. Good luck!

I was able to remove inq off my EQ by going to the dispute page and putting the name of the company and then in the area where the account number goes I put Inquiry and the date of the inquiry and they came off. I heard that if they don't come off the first time wait about two weeks and do it again and they will come off. You can do all of them at once, but there is only room for six on a page. So you will have to go back in and do another dispute.

Chane is right. Inquiries don't affect your score that much. Even if you can get a few of them off, it will probably only raise your score a few points.

Getting off the derogs will benefit you the most.

Also, inquiries are never really "negative" (well, except for CAs that do hard pulls) .......... companies that pull your CRs don't see denials. They only see that your CR has been viewed by a creditor. Who's to say you didn't turn them down after they approved you? Know what I mean?

It's not very likely that the CRAs will remove them (some have had luck but it's really not common).
If you are really that concerned about inquiries, get with a monitoring service that lets you pull your CRs daily and get bumpage.

The only thing on my CR that could be hurting my score atm is a high balance and a few inquiries. They are kind of annoying.

I'm not so sure TC's bumping works anymore.
