This is the one where I requested validation from the CA two times and the only thing I have ever received is an itemized statement with no name and address for the OC on it(medical). It's a computer printout dated 12/09 from DOS 06/07. I called the CA today because I requested original bills and he told me this printout came directly from the health office, not his and that he would not give me the name, address, and phone number of the OC. CAs itemized statement says its from Bellevue Health Park which I can't find any info. The csr on the phone said its from an alegent health clinic and to call them to get the address and number. I called and they have moved but the lady on the phone didn't know if it was from bellevue health park. I couldn't get any info on wether or not they have any records of me because their billing dept was closed. My question is, what the heck do I do now? I'm stumped because I can't get anything else from the CA which I wonder if thats because they just don't care or because they don't have any right to collect on this. I have also disputed through CRA twice and tried HIPAA once but got rejected on that. I'm calling first thing monday morning to see if I'm in their system, hopefully I'm not but where do I go from there???

Someone has to have record of you if it is a legit acct.... Did you find anything out when you called them back? |

I called a couple of different offices i've been to in the past and finally found the place the have been trying to collect for. It looks like this account was assigned to the collection agency and I asked the billing department to send me everything they have. They said they only have a printout that they will mail to me. It's probably the same thing the CA sent me. Hopefully it will be here tomorrow. Any suggestions from there? It looks like my only option would be HIPAA route. I just don't see how its going to work. I guess if it shows up paid thats still better than showing unpaid.

If you go the HIPAA route and pay the healthcare provider, then the CA would have no right to report it on your CRs. I wouldn't say it's your ONLY option......but it's the best one. I just wouldn't give any money to a CA. If you decide to go ahead and pay using the HIPAA process, let me know if you have any questions. |
