I don’t see how something couldn’t come out of this. Even if they do “verify” or whatever a hospital will do, couldn’t I then request copies of my medical records, highlight the actual service dates and send it back? Fight it that way? All of the records claim that they were opened January 2008. I am absolutely 100% percent positive that isn’t true because the medical bills are for when I was in the hospital having my son..March 2007. So if I can show them that on the records, wouldn’t that be a violation on their part right there? |

Not sure what you mean.. All of who's records are claiming the wrong date? |

all of the records on my credit report. most are from the hospital itself, but there are maybe two reporting from CMRE.

Ok.......then yes, that's inaccurate reporting. I was thinking it was a CA that was reporting the "date opened".......which is usually they date they obtain the debt (which won't always match with date of service or the true date an acct was opened). So yes, it may be possible to take care of it that way. See what their response is though. You may not even have to worry about it. |

I hope not! But as it stands right now, they are “investigating my claim”

Okay, I got a letter back on Saturday from PPH. (Palomar Pomerado Hospital here in San Diego) It was actually a package that includes all of my medical records on file that have outstanding balances. It dates back to December of 2004 and only goes up until April of 2007. All of these accounts report on my credit as “Date open: 10-2008” some are August 2008. Where do I go from here? These accounts are obviously hurting my credit because they look “newer” than they really are! What should I do now? |

You used insert b in your letter right? Did they send you anything else besides records? Any sort of response or letter? If so, what did it say? And just to refresh me and make sure I'm understanding this right.... These are unpaid medical bills that were not submitted to insurance in a timely manner, right?
