Ok, so now you need to send the HIPAA letter to the OC..... (the letter on why chat's site that says "form letter to original healthcare provider") with the correct insert and send it Attn: HIPAA compliance officer.

ok. and this should cause them to stop having the CA report and they have to verify all of my information with me in order to keep reporting?

Yes, wait for your results first before sending the HIPAA letter.

I sent my HIPAA letters last week and now I’m getting phone calls from the hospitals I sent it to. Do I need to talk to these people or should they be doing everything by mail?

You can talk to them.
Is this the one regarding the medical bill that wasn't submitted to insurance in a timely manner?
I would answer the phone just out of curiosity to see what they have to say.

Yes. thats the one. i'm just so afraid i'm going to fumble on the phone and say something that they can use against me, even though i know they cant!
