Default Collection call from different agency!!!

My last negative item on my credit report got dropped off today and I was getting a lot of calls from 1-800 number and I never picked them up. Today I picked up the call (since my only negative item got dropped) and the collection agent represented herself from XXX agency, while it was reported in my credit report as YYY agency.

1. Is that possible? and how?

The conversation was as follows

she: Blah blah blah......you owe money....Blah blah blah
I: statue of limitation has passed on this debt (delinquent date 10/2002)
She: blah ...blah....blah.....are you going to pay the debt?
I: No
end of conversation..

2. By my saying "no" will that in any way restart the 7 year clock or can they sue me?

any advice/suggestions would be highly welcomed

No they can't restart the clock.Send them a cease and desist letter.I would send them a dv letter stating its not convenient to call you at any time or any number. Will they sue? maybe but ask for a copy of the signed contract.Make sure when you send a letter you print your name.
