 Collection Agency Letter? Weird!
I just received a letter today from MCM CA. I disputed a debt with them and asked the CRA's to verify the info because I suspect the fees they added and are trying to collect is BULL Poopy:p Today I received a letter saying... Dear ........ The purpose of this letter is to request you assistance so that we may reach a quick solution to your dispute. As part of our investigation of your dispute it would be helpful to have a copy of any documentation you may have that supports your dispute. please fax or mail this information to us. You can also contact us at ******* Send them documents? I don't think so! I am wondering why they haven't sent me proof that this was my debt, instead they want me to send them proof that I owe them? LOL :rofl: Anyone elses thoughts on this?  |

I am currently trying to do the 1-2 punch with these people and it looks like it might work since they did not send any proof to me! This is the second collection agency that has done this!  Hopefully more people will read this post and not fall for their tricks!

So, I have decided that Midland Credit(aka MCM) is the dumbest people ever! I am also disputing an account with these people and they are getting close to the 30 day mark. To recap I sent them a DV letter out on the 9th and today I got a response...... Dear Mrs. Courtneys Mom, We are offering you three different payment plans to settle this debt Onetime lump sum Two seperate payments or $50 a month until debt is paid.:rolleyes: You Have To be Joking right? C'mon they cant be that dumb... Can they :rofl: I kept thinking yea I will send that out right away in a big envelope with a validation from my husband including but not limited to old statments picture of his card and a big lump sum payment of my debt:rofl: These people are dumb yes but amusing too!:p |

They are asking you for proof of the debt?? LOL! It falls on their shoulds so good catch there! I was fighting one collection agency that hit my credit report and it was verified through the CR as okay. Of course, the CA did not respond to my validation request so I finally filed a complaint with my AG's office and it did come off my CR. They put in the letter that they are waiting on documentation from the original creditor and claimed they mailed me validation which not true..... I'm going to respond back to the AG's office on this one........

 OMG
I just checked to see what my husband and I's credit report was saying about these two accounts and they are reading as verified???? They haven't varified it with me! They sent me the two letters that I posted and thats it! What next?:confused: I have kept good documents of everything that I sent, I was trying the 1-2 punch and thought it was working since they havent been able to verify anything with me! |

Should I send Dv 2 or send them letter telling them that I will seek legal advice for the violations if they dont delete post? Yes I sent this CmRRR and have a copy of the letter sent along with there Retarted replie! All replies welcome! Thats JJ for all the help too! |
