Default CA's reporting terms - 1 month?? Say What?

I think I've read this before, but WHAT in the world CAN I do or what type of letter can I try this time??? I have SEVERAL acts that went to CA's - most are actually inaccurate and have been paid by either myself or through a settlement. However, they re-occur and list terms of 1 month. When I haven't heard one word from any of them???!!! It makes no sense to me and I want these all resolved asap. It is sooo wrong that they do this!! I've disputed several times and I'm not sure, it makes it worse I think. jerks. There has got to be something I can do or try again. I'm brain dead and could use some help or sample letter for these damn companies & go from there!

Any ca that is reporting terms of one month is reporting wrong. In order to have terms you have to have a contract you don't have a contract with a ca.I would send them a c&d letter on reporting incorrect information. When they report correctly then you can address that problem. These guys are like crab grass.keep battling them.

Actually I don't want to do an C&D letter, I know it won't do anything. They don't contact me anyway - that's not the problem. They are reporting wrong information and terms of 1 months on all that I've never heard of.

you could try sending the CRA's a dispute letter but dispute it as reporting incorrectly

yeah, I think on most I've done that and mentioned I've paid original creditor, etc. and they still report. but, doesn't hurt to try again. or does it?? I'm afraid they'll make something else look worse. jerks.

You don't want to dispute it as reporting incorrectly unless it is a late payment.

Disputing an unpaid charge off as a paid charge off still makes it a charge off...same with collections, judgements, tax liens, etc. They still stay on your report for 7+ years as a negative item.

most shouldn't be reporting at all. some I've paid original creditor. and a few others were part of a lawsuit. they did get paid and I'm told they were not to be reporting or touching it at all and they still managed to report it and it remains. some with a balance too, which is inaccurate. I'm at a loss at what to do.

So i was having the same problem with the CA reporting past due and terms and when i disputed them they verified it the first time so i sent them a letter telling them that they were in violation and that they were reporting incorrectly and that they had 10 days to delete and guess what......they deleted it :-)
