I have roughly $6,000 in medical bills that shouldn’t be on my report! I had medi-cal at the time of service and have contacted the hosptial billing deparment who sent me to medi-cal who sent me back! Long story short, medi-cal told me that now the bills are too old and they cannot be billed for them! What the hell?! I have tried to dispute these bills and even offered a settlement, but every time I send a letter, they just send me an automated voicemail that says to contact them. Then I call back and they tell me they need full payment! What the heck do I do?! This is probably the most devastating to my report currently. |

Who is it that's calling you? Is it a CA? Have you read the medical collections thread in the beginner's section? |

Thank you Trish! I just read that post and its so going to work! I already opted out when I started my credit repair process so I'm good there. As far as the dispute with the CRA's goes, I have a bunch of letters prepared that I was planning to send certified today. So I will send those, then if and when I get validation, i will get started with those letters. Also, the most exciting thing, is one of the reasons is "...was not transmitted to my insurance company in a timely manner.." and thats what I have been arguing with them about this whole dang time!! Thank you!! Amber |

I was just noticing on my report, that every account reports as opened January 2008. I know for a fact these accounts are not from this date. I already sent my dispute, but if they come back “verified” can I request specific informaiton from the creditor? Such as medical records and sepcific dates? If the date of service on the record is different then what is reporting, is that terms for deletion?

Is it the healthcare provider or a CA that is reporting the "date open"?

Most are the original provider.

Ok, because I was going to say that CAs usually do not report the date of service. They will report the "date open" as the date they acquired the debt. So, if the OC is reporting the date incorrectly......you should challenge that. How did you dispute it? Is it why chat's medical dispute? |

Unfortunately its not the information you posted in the beginners thread. Its just a basic CRA and OC dispute at this point. But if it comes back to me “verified” I plan to use the HIPAA info.
