So in response to a letter I am responding with a DV letter. This CA has not reported anything for any of the 3 medical accounts I just found out they hold for me and they have had them for over a year. I am wondering if it would be possible for them to start reporting after I send this letter, I am including the sease and desist all collection activity in the letter. I do know that these are my bills and I am going to pay them I just cant afford all at once and dont want them to start reporting. Any advice or help would be great. thanks |

How much are these debts for (total)? If you are willing to make payment arrangements......then you should contact the healthcare provider and see if they will work with you. Ask them if they will pull the accts back from the CA and you will make payments. By doing that.......the CA will no longer have any rights on collecting on the debt.......therefore, they cannot report it. period. If you cannot manage payments right now or the healthcare provider is not willing to work with you........then as jj said........let sleeping dogs lie. I would leave it alone for now. If the debt is for a substantial amount.....and you send a FULL cease and desist.......they will have no other choice BUT to sue you. |

All 3 total about $900. One is a judgement that already went thru and I am paying this week. Leaving me with about $400 after that I owe them. I do plan on paying the other 2 in a couple weeks, but I will contact the health care provider first. Hopefully they will work with me. thanks |
