I don't think I would be specific about what they are reporting inaccurately. Let them figure it out.

Maybe something like "This debt is being reported incorrectly and you are currently in violation of the Fair Debt Collections Practice Act"

*also......if that is your full name listed above, please let me know and I can edit it. You have to be careful because CAs do circulate these boards.

great advise. I guess I wouldn't of thought of that. Sometimes I think they are too ignorant and dumb to figure it out themselves. haha.

I sent a letter to the CA. A big thank you for all your inputs and help. lets see how it goes. However, i am curious. Lets say all the steps i take are unsuccessful in getting this account deleted of my CR and that it remains on my CR's for seven years. does this mean my score wont go up at all in the next seven years or will it slowly start going up if i dont have anymore negative items on my reports?

The more a negative TL ages, the less impact it will have on your score. So by letting it age, not getting anymore derogatory accts and working on your positive TLs (by either increasing the number of positive accts or getting your balances down below 30% of your limit) your score will eventually start going back up.

When you get credit scores its a little deceiving because the lenders pull scores from myfico.com which can be higher or lower then ex,eq,tu.
