We have already agreed that when taxes come in next week we will pay off the OC. Might as well get this off our back. I know that if my in laws would have gotten something we would have been made aware of it right away.

Something I just thought of. The CA that has this account, also had another account of my dh. We just settled that a few weeks ago and paid them off. So they had our new address, we moved back in Feb. of 2007, but they had our new address so it should have never been a case of not having our address. What I don't get is when my husband paid them off he goes "Do we have any more accounts with "CA" on file?" the gentleman said nope and they ended the call. And now all of a sudden we have a bill with them? Oh well time to get taxes and pay them off. |

You know.....I would check and make sure that particular CA is licensed and/or bonded according to your states requirements. Any time I get a collection letter, it's the first thing I check. Just a thought..... |
