OK I got my TU dispute back. Got a few deletes and few verified or new info. I was going to do the 1-2 punch but realized I don't know what I am suppose to be sending to the CRA. Is it another dipute or am I just asking for method of validation and if that's the case it's the FCRA 611 right? The 623 would go to the OC and just a letter of verification to the CA, right?? I'm a little confused. Also, should I wait until the diputes from the other 2 CRA's are done? I have rec. a letter from Porfolio giving me verification even though I had not sent anything out yet. And I also got a couple of letters from an OC and another CA asking for payment now that I disputed them with the CRA. Do I just do the 1-2 punch with all of them regardless of what they have already sent me? I am so scared to make a mistake! |

whoa... Ok now I'm confused......lol Let's do one thing at a time. In regards to the 1 2 punch, you just send the CRA a standard dispute (not method of validation) BUT.....if you just recently disputed it, be sure to dispute it for a different reason or they might flag it as frivolous.......or say it's already been investigated. As long as you don't have an investigation pending with the CRA you are going to dispute with, it's ok. If there is already and investigation going on, then wait until you get those results first. Now on Portfolio, what exactly was their "verification"? Did you get an itemized list of charges from the OC? Did you get a contract with a siggy? And also what kind of debt is it (cc, medical, etc)? With the others, give a little more info (what kind of debt, how old, how much, etc). Then I can help a little more on those. |

Trish, sorry it took me so long. I got a computer virus! Yeah it was bad! OK here is the thing. I got all 3 disputes back. I want you to know though that I didn't dispute the same items on all 3 reports.( ex: HSBC disputed on only 2 reports. Not on the 3rd.) I don't know if that makes a difference or not. The ones that came back not deleted are: 2 Credit Cards/OC (verified, no change and new information, from 2005) 1 credit line (no longer on file, really don't know this one at all) the rest were CA's medical and 2 small loan companies (verified or new information.from 2006 to 2008) I guess I should just ask what I am suppose to do now. LOL I was so confused last time that I confused you!!!LOL The Portfolio letter was sent because the CRA contacted them. They have one of the CC collections. The letter just said they were sending it to me as verification that this was my account. It didn't have any itemized billing or anything. There was no signed contract or anything. The other thing is that now that I had 2 med bills deleted they are showing up under a different CA they just showed up today. What do I do with those ones? I had disputed the last CA and they couldn't verify so the CRA deleted. Thanks so much for all your help once I do this I will understand how this process really works. These are the 1st of my disputes so I really don't know what I am doing.LOL SCARY!!!!LOL BUT, I am trying to learn! |
