Angry Help with Portfolio Recovery

Ok this is the deal! Started looking through some of my old disputes where i have some things removed. Transunion could not validate them, so they removed them, they tried validating through the original creditor. I pull a credit report recently, and the same account is back on there but through a credit collection agency, Portfolio Recovery! So I disputed it again through transunion, but it came back validated. They have the same account number but a different DLA. Any suggestions?

The ca illegally reaged it it's a violation. Now you have to send a stronger letter to the ca.Go back to the cra and dispute the dla.

You're supposed to send the CRAs verification letters and validation letters to the CA.

I did send CA validation letters, which they have failed to respond back with in the 30 day period. Sent Oct 3 certified. Also went on line with transunion and ask for verification of what was on my credit report. Like i said though, i had them do it on 8/14/2007 and it was removed, then i pulled a credit report 10/23/08 and the same account was on there but under portfolio recovery with a different DLA. I asked TransUnion for verification on that, which the results came back New Information and is still on my credit report.

Is this a paid collection? It will be much harder to get TU to remove a new unpaid collection. You may want to try a pay for delete on this one. New collections don't come off easy.

Yes, it is. The first time around it was a charge off. Now that is has been picked up by a collection agency it is a collection. OCs are allowed to report them and they are also allowed to hire collection agencies to collect on them.

They are not doing anything wrong or illegal by reporting it, unless the information is incorrect. If you dispute it as incorrect information, they will probably correct it since it's new. I highly doubt they will delete it, but it's worth a try.

That's why I am asking if it's paid or not. If the disputes fail and the DVs fail, then you will probably have to negotiate with a pay for delete.

This account actually has a removal date of 6/09... it's been on my credit for almost 7 years. Should I wait for the 7 year removal or is there anything that i can do to get it removed now? Already sent validation letters to CA and verified letter to CRA, no letter return from CA, but CRA verified it.

Also Forgot, Portfolio, sent back a response to my verification, no contract showing sig or anything like that just a letter saying,

Acount Number !!!!!!!!!!!! and its proceeds were sold, assigned and transferred by the Seller to Portolio Recovery Associates, LLC on 5/24/2007. At the time of the sale, the Seller provided an electronic file of its business records concerning this account. According to the Seller's record, there was due ans payable from (ME) to the seller in the sum of (000.00) with respect to the account, as of 05/24/2007, there being no unknown un-credited payments, just counterclaims, or offsets against this account at the date of its sale.

Then it goes into how to pay for this date. This account is way pasted SOL and like it said do to come of CR on 6/09 for being over 7 years. Any way to have it removed now?

That's weird. I though usually it would be 7 years from the date the CA received it. I would probably just wait for it to come off. If it's 6 1/2 years old, it's not even really hurting your credit that bad at all. I would just wait.
