Angry After 7 Years!

Help! I'm in the process of cleaning up my credit. Right now I'm dealing with LHR..for a debt that happened in 2001. Which puts it over the SOL and over the 7 year mark. I sent them a Validation letter..which they sent me back a copy of the loan papers. They keep on renewing the DLA on my credit report, which i have not done anything with them. Of course i'm trying to get this removed from my credit, I figure im going to have to write another letter to them, but really don't know what to say. Suggestions of what to do and say would greatly be appreciated.

The important question is when are the cra's reporting dola.If they reage it then that's a violation. You can send them a foad letter. But i would see if the papers has your sig. They can't collect

The CRA's report the DLA with different dates. I have older credit reports that accually state the date when it had last actived, but with the current CR it has a much newer date. What is a foad letter? The papers they sent do have my sig, but the debt was suppose to be taken care of by my EX, which looks like she fall of the planet, so they are coming after me. Like i said though, it is past the SOL and older then 7 years. Do i send a letter to the CRA's or to the credit collectors? And what should the letter say?

A foad letter is f**k off and die.I would dispute wih the cra that your older credit reports has the correct dla and the new one should show the correct dla

Just send the CA a cease and desist letter letting them know that they can no longer legally collect on it because it is past the SOL. No need to piss them off.

Let them also know that continuing to report it to the CRAs is considered collection activity - which again is illegal, since it is past the SOL.

Then, dispute it with the CRAs. If they verify it, you can sue the CA. Keep a paper trail.
