Default Question about garnishment in WA state

Ok, I just want to make sure I'm understanding this.....
(for WA state)
"WAGE GARNISHMENT EXEMPTION: 75% of earnings or 40 times the federal minimum hourly wage, whichever is greater"

Ummm.....what?
75%??? That can't be right..... please tell me I'm misunderstanding this.

Anyone know?

I believe they can only garnish 25% of you income in most states, after all you have to live.so 75% would be exempt.
