That's not true.
Merely talking to them will not restart the SOL clock. Some people believe that making a payment will restart the SOL clock. Also not true. There are only a few states that this will happen. The only way you could restart the SOL clock is by making a NEW payment arrangement/contract with a CA.

I think you are right to send NCO a DV with limited C&D if they sent you a collection letter. I think it's important to be proactive with credit repair. Don't just hide and wait (well.....unless it's a sleeping giant.....then just let it be).
