Hey, everyone. i just joined the site. I was just discharged from my Chapter 7 in January and thought this would be a great support site to share and be a part of. Ont thing I was curious and need info on is getting a car. Unfortunately, my truck crapped out right as I was going through my BK proceedings. So, I'm hoping to get a reliable cheap car, but am not sure about financing. I know there are BK friendly car dealers and was wondering if anyone has any experience with them ... or in this field in general. Any help is GREATLY appreciated. thanks Matt |

Try your local credit union.look in the phone book,or paper! Your interest rate will be higher, but you can get a car!I didn't have to have a car at the time, but got lots of offers in the mail. |

jj ... I am getting the offers non-stop, too. but, one of the lessons I have learned with this bankruptcy is to be VERY cautious and leary. Any places to avoid?? Like I have heard bad stuff about JD Byrider, that they can be difficult. Thanks for confirming that its a used site. I found it randomly the other day and its great to be somewhere that I can talk about it and its not a negative or instant judgement on me. |
