Unhappy Bankruptcy Removed

I got my bankruptcy removed on Transunion "Filed 12/2007 Discharge 4/2008".
But most of my accounts were showing they are placed in included in bankruptcy but now there are showing in collections with no balance. I am lost on what to do?

A BK is one of the hardest things to get off! You should feel GREAT about that! :2thumbsup:

For the collections, I would just treat them like regular collection accts and dispute them.
Read here:

And then also just stick around and search the forum for similar situations. If you want to post specific accts and ask for advice, feel free to do so.

Good luck and Welcome.

You have to dispute them again. They should be 0 balance.Even though there's not a bk reporting there were discharged and should show included in bk.A bk is a bk even if it's not there. This is the point where I'm at whether to try to follow through on my dispute or not, right now I'm leaning towards not.

jjs right. By law, those CAs and OCs have to report those as zero balance or they are in violation. Go ahead and dispute them as having an incorrect balance and see what happens. Then which ever ones come back verified......you can contact those creditors directly and let them know they are reporting incorrectly.

As the pro's stated - yes, dispute them - they should not show any balance at all. (period) That is worth disputing and keep on that route!

Don't worry about your scores too much, they'll start going up - search around for tips and re-establish credit, etc. (make sure you're getting FICO scores - FAKO can be way off in my experience)

CONGRATS on the b/k removal & PLEASE share on what you wrote to get that removed - that is a very difficult item to get removed, so congrats to you!!!
