can finance co charge you a repo visit??

I was behind 2months in car payments, going into the 3rd month. I came home and noticed a card in my door (repo man visit). So I called the finance company, and was assured that no one is going to repo my car, so I paid the 2months off and requested a defferment for the 3rd month.

I when I made my nov pyment they told me I had to pay late charges and the repo man visit???? can you be charge for that, even if you werent home and no car was ever repoe'd.:confused:

From what I've read.....most repo companies only get paid if they actually get the vehicle.. but I don't know for sure...
By any chance do you know who the repo company was? If so, (and this is just what I would do) I would find out if the repo company charges even if they do not follow through/pick up the vehicle.. if they don't.....then I would dispute that charge with the finance company.

If the repo is on a fee for service he failed to perform that service,so why be charged for a service not received.I believe theres a law about goods or services charged but not received!
