We were recently (back in Jan.) turned down by our local credit union for a mortgage. The guy almost laughed at us stating we had horrid credit and it would take a good 3 years for them to even consider us. Well just 1 1/2 short months later we got approved for a car loan! The loan officer, whom I know well, was a bit skeptical that we could clean up our credit so fast. He pulled our reports and called me back almost speechless. His exact words "Oh wow. You said you had paid of debt and were working on cleaning up your reports, but when people say that they usually mean they paid $10 towards an account, but you were completely serious. I didn't think I'd ever get the joy of telling you that you were approved for a loan. Much less this year! Good job kid, you and your husband are well on your way to a house mortgage.":eek:
We are beside ourself with excitement! We are getting a 2007 Grand Prix. It's a very nice car, low miles, nothing wrong with it. We are hoping to get it today or tomorrow... The sooner the better
Now only if we can get with a CRO to clean up the baddies..
