I don't want to argue legalities or morality here. This is America. If there is a demand then there is someone willing to supply. Whether it be SSN's, alcohol(underage), green cards, drugs , weapons, laws, new identities, sex, electronics, cheap labor, credit repair, second chances etc. If there is a will there is a way. That's the way the free market system works(legally or illegally);morally or immorally). :2thumbsup: |
We have never taught anyone to "remove a credit file". We offer advice on how to dispute and remove items on your file, but not to remove the whole file.
Legitimate blight? Did you know the CRA's are not government agencies? They are for-profit businesses. Your creditors VOLUNTARILY report to them. They don't have to by law, it is 100% completely voluntary.
The FCRA is hardly a "loophole" in the law. It gives us the right to know what's being reported against us by our creditors. It also gives you the right to dispute any information on your credit report that may be inaccurate, untimely, misleading, incomplete, ambiguous, unverifiable, or unclear (questionable).
The FCRA makes it so that the CRA bears the burden of proof. If they are going to report it, it must be true and they must be able to prove it. That is 100% completely fair since it can cause you massive financial damage. So, how is that a "loophole"?
We are just informed, responsible consumers. To suggest that we are somehow doing something illegal, unethical or otherwise is offensive.
The CRA's want you to believe that what they report about you is somehow "official" like they are some sort of government agency. They're not. They simple collect YOUR information (without your permission) and SELL it to other companies.

Truth About Credit Reporting Agencies so that you too can understand what's actually going on. I wrote this article myself.
