good news: this morning i was able to track down this record on a trans union report i just got back after a round of disputes. i was able to match the LVNV account with an HSBC account that i have a letter of removal from HSBC!! :D sweet!! so i'm giong to send a copy of the letter to Trans union, LVNV and HSBC as well as a general letter to Equifax and experian just in case it still reports. something like this:

The attached letter is a notice from HSBC stating that they are no longer to report this account. However, it still is showing on some of my reports and I wanted to send you this information in case you are still reporting it.
If you have already ceased the reporting of this information, thank you. If you are still reporting it, please remove it at once or I will have no choice but to file a complaint with the FCRA and appropriate authorities.

the letter i have from them is dated September 12, 2008!!!! Why hasn't this been deleted yet? i've actually sent copies of this letter before! Ugh..
