It's been a long time since I've been on this subject.........BUT there are only a small handful of states that would restart the collection SOL because of a payment to a CA. The reporting SOL will NEVER be re-aged by a payment to a CA......that would be illegal.

The ONLY way to restart the reporting SOL would be with the OC, before the acct is charged off. OCs are legally allowed to "re-age" a debt twice on the same account.
