A dispute is with a CRA (credit reporting agency aka consumer reporting agency aka credit bureau)
Validation is with a CA (collection agency)
The 2 are completely different and should not be mixed up.
They both typically have 30 days to respond. Learn more here at the forum before you decide to do either of them as making a mistake at either can be very costly.
