In regards to this account, I have been fighting this account for years by phone with this guy who calles himself a different name everytime we speak. He sends me threatening emails and texts saying hes gonna take me to court when ive already told him, its not my debt. How do I handle him?
I just want to make sure......you meant validation letter for the CAs and dispute letters for the CRAs, right? It's just that there's a big difference.

Once you know that the CA has rec'd your letter, you can immediately dispute with the CRAs.

And, yeah.....on that last acct. Emails and texts? What a piece of work!
Like jj said, send him a limited C & D letter (I'm assuming the debt is not out of SOL) and ask for validation of the debt. Send it CMRR. If he contacts you IN ANY WAY other than mail, record it. If you have caller ID and he calls, take a picture of it. If he threatens you again, save it. Then you have him on continued collection and harassment. Two violations......1K a pop. Then you can send him an ITS letter.
